Mr Bahram Fakouri is a distinguished consultant spinal neurosurgeon with an impressive track record in the field of spinal surgery. He specialises in neck pain, back pain, arm pain, spinal tumours, spinal stenosis, sciatica, and minimally invasive spinal surgery, and practises at both The Blackheath Hospital and the London Bridge Hospital.
Mr Fakouri successfully completed his medical studies at highly reputable institutions in Germany, including the University of Cologne and the University of Duesseldorf. He would then go on to undertake his neurosurgical training in a teaching hospital of the university on Bonn, Germany, between 1997 and 2003. Afterwards he completed a few major spinal fellowships, e.g. spinal fellowship at the Centre for Spinal Surgery and Study in Nottingham for one yar and a spinal fellowship at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital for one year. His expertise extends to managing various spinal conditions including lumbar and cervical disc herniations, cervical spondylotic myelopathy, adult spinal deformity, vertebral fractures, vertebroplasty, and kyphoplasty.
Mr Fakouri took on the role of lead clinician for adult spinal surgery at Guy’s and St Thomas' Hospital in 2019, with his dedication to advancing spinal care being instrumental in shaping the department’s services. His main research interests include degenerative cervical and lumbar spine pathologies.
